yep blank says this page has errors

i just put the new one in too.

had one issue that was more me forgetting to load RavTun on my rebuild of system: after about 30 minutes of bc2 single player the card over heated since the fan only runs at 10%, rav tuner runs it at 100%, ran bc2 single player on high with the sound on war tapes, no issues.......yet. so what is the issue can someone post the text of it here? this sounds like trouble if it is true and will kill thier value to peope that have been fans, sounds like a car compny right now that has issues?

If you have a nivida card, I would recommend no matter what driver used, get RaveTunner tool. THe issue with these card for YEARS is they start at 10% fan, this is so slow that you can touch the fan it will stop and wont start again as well. Not enough power to spin it. In gaming it wont go to 100% until it reaches critical mass, by then Huston we have a problem. In Rav i set mine to run 100% at boot, though then the fan sounds like my turbo solstice spooling up. its loud. At least thats what the wife says. Also heat in these new pcs(i have the same CPU cool as oneway) is alot from the south to the north bridge. BE very sure you have alot of air making its way about the whole system, i added fans the "trailer park" way all over the place, rubber bands chewwing gum what ever it takes lol

Good to know. I actually had not upgraded to them. I have been using the 196.34 beta drivers. Nvidia doesn't even have the 196.75 driver edition listed anymore.

Oh wow, you guys are multiple driver sets ahead of me. I'm at 195.62. Nothing new has come out for the 9800 mobile.

This has been an issue for me since I first got my 8800GTS 512mb right after it was first released over a year ago. Every certified nvidia driver I've ever used hasn't corrected the problem so I run a 3rd party program so I don't have to worry about it.

First rattle out of the box any nvidia card owner should download something that will allow them to manually adjust fan speeds. EVGA users can use the EVGA Precision tool (which I am using). I've got my fan set to run at 100% at all times, it makes it to where I have to clean my gfx card a lot more often but my GPU is probably in pretty good shape as far as damage from excessive heat goes. Never had an issue with overheating because of it at any rate.
