Would I still be able to play a newly released game with old Nvidia graphics drivers? I plan on getting Mass Effect 2 but do not want to update my drivers. The reason is that my favorite game, Empire Total War, will not run properly with newer drivers and I want to continue using my current ones as long as possible until the driver issues are corrected. Would I not be able to play Mass Effect 2 at all with a driver that is several months old (191.07)?

There's really only one way to find out, but I would bet there would probably be some issues. Maybe not too major but you just never know until you try.

The good news is that you can always roll your driver back to the version you use to play your other game. I have to do that any time I play Crysis, the newer drivers for some reason cause the game to crash but the old ones are fine....

The biggest thing they add in the newer drivers is sli support if you have 2 cards odds are the mass effect 2 wont support sli without the new drivers.
