Who's getting it?

I just pre-ordered it on steam.
From the makers of 3d mark, the computer stress test software people.
The devs are very active and supportive of the PC gaming community.
Tons of updates are expected.
32 player online.
Plus its only $20.
and its direct x10 ONLY.... so you need windows vista or 7 and a decent computer (xp wont work)

Yea it does but i have xp still holding out on 7 buut i should , just have alot of other programs that may not work after the software update.

The game came out yesterday and its pretty good for an independent release. Not too many features... yet, but it is promised to have LOTS of free DLC in the future, including a single player story mode, new maps, achievements and more stats.

It has a basic ranking system already!

Thoughts:
- 7.5/10 (deserves an 8.5 if there are actual future updates with new maps and stuff)
- need more levels / weapons / features
- It has dedicated servers, but so far they are all owned by developer (i'm considering getting a server when they come available)
- Great controls and it feels/plays comparable to BF1942, BF2, TF2 or L4D
- Love the stats tracking system
- Excellent community support / feedback / help on the forums

It's a difficult game cause you are fighting in an FPS style environment where enemies can come from ANY angle.

But, it reminds me of BF2 air vehicles where you just gotta spend some time to learn the fine points and angles of attacks, then you'll be good to go.

I upgraded from XP to 7 specifically for this game, and I gotta say, its very similar to Vista, BUT 100 times BETTER. Unzipping files, opening up programs, transferring to my USB drive is all 20% - 50% faster with the same computer hardware. The only thing I noticed is that when I am using 100% of the cpu resources, my music sometimes gets choppy, which is understandable considering I am getting a huge increase in performance in most of my tasks.

I have NOT HAD 1 crash YET in game or otherwise. Finally, Windows 7 also has a XP compatibility mode, so some of your possible compatibility issues may be handled by that.

I had been eyeballing this for awhile. The zero g concept was something I thought would make a great game. I even went so far as to do some preliminary work on it.

It's interesting that they thought along the same lines that I did about certain things. As usual proving there are no original ideas.

I haven't played it but from what I have seen my main concern was a lack of variety. Correct me if I'm wrong but everyone has the same multifunction gun correct? Are the load outs the same too?

Of course any criticism I make is going to be a little biased.
