Very cool always loved fish tanks. Mt first summer job(in a store) back in the Flinstone days, was at a place that sold Fish, tanks and the related stuff. I was 12 and started at 50cents an hour, cleaning tanks and feeding them. After a few weeks the owner let me run the store. I opened and did everything except ordering supplies. I had a raise at that time to 1$ an hour, funny i thought i was RITCH then man 8 bucks a day 40$ a week! I spent all my money on Climbing gear back then gear was as expensive as it is to day, 1 caribener was 5$ a rope was allmost 100$. The years was 1973. Gas was 45cents a pack of smokes 50cents.

My favorite fish was our Buck tooth guppies( piranha) man they would tear the shit out of the goldfish feeders we used. The tank was labled as these Buck tooths because they were against the law in Tahoe then.

Oneway that is amazing work there you have done on the system.

Thanks Doc, it has been a project to get started, but now it is a very nice system. I have to clean sponges and some water changes, but the fish are healthy and growing nicely. I can not wait until the clowns are 12" or larger smile.gif

Thanks man,, well I have kept fish, turtles, frogs, snakes, lizards, and toads since before I can remember... My mom would find critters in my sock drawer, in buckets, or shoe boxes.
I got my 1st 20 gallon fish tank from my grandfather in like 3rd grade.. it was never empty. I sure killed my share of animals learning how to care for them, but now I am so much
better,,, having money to spend on the hobby helps a lot.

The fish are growing and I can't wait until i get some monster Clowns... those guys are just cool fish. I also have 1 more Khuli loach in my tank than I did 5 months ago... they are hard to find, but I know
have 6.. when i started with 5. I will try to find more, but it is a minor miracle that one fry lived to maturity in the tank with all the fish in there.

I been on the fence to start a tank, this kind of posts is not good for my budget rolleyes.gif Now that the kids are out on there own. Remodled the two rooms they had one is the spare room, the other is my hobby room, full of Lego robotics(about 20,000 parts and related stuff, a nice 200gal would look very nice and add to creative thoughts, i can see robotic fish whistling.gif
