Dear owners,

It is that time of year again.. and the NFL season begins Sunday, September 9th! http://www.nfl.com/schedules?seasonType=REG&season=2010

1. I need to know who is in for this year.
Bac, Miss Bac, Kharn, Balk, 2-hotty, Ken, Keane, Lee, Tom, and Myself.

2. I will propose that the live draft to start on Monday, September 6th @ 5pm EST. Please respond to all if this does not work and we will push back the start time to accomodate the group. Like we have in the past we will attempt to get as many rounds in as possible, but if need be we will continue the last several rounds over the next week.

3. I have not looked yet, but I will renew the league on CBS and post the cost breakdown. The past several years it has been $13-$17 dollars.

4. Does anyone have any Rule changes that they would like to request?

5. Who is interested in ESPN w/pball this year? I will be working on changing those point systems to balance QB's since they were nuts last year. I will also make sure the playoffs are schedule correctly this year as well. ESPN is free.

I'm building a rig for my friend. Trying to keep the costs low. 300ish if possible.

Just trying to get the most bang for the buck. I'm giving him my old 8800GT so the graphics card is already covered.

The Win 7 OS is going to cost 99 for an OEM, unless some one else knows how to get a cheaper legit copy.

These were the two combo deals I was looking at:

This has pretty much everything I need but I'm not sure about the PSU only being 450w. It has the amps (25) according to the 8800GT specs. He isn't going to putting much of anything else in it to draw power though.

The other one I was looking at was this one:

I would still need to add an HD and DVD drive which would bring the cost a little higher than the other. The PSU is 585w and has two rails but looks like only a 19 and 20 amps from what I could read from the pictures. Not sure if thats actually worse.

Also not sure which cpu is actually the better. It's been awhile since I've looked into AMDs. The second one has a AMD Phenom X4 9850 2.5GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Quad Core and the other one has an Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300 2.60GHz. Is one substantially better than the other?

With shipping and all they both come out to about 360 and 390 respectively.

If anyone else can find better deals let me know. Thanks.

L4d2 only 10.19 today on steam. It's well worth that if you enjoyed the zombie slaying in the first one. New weapons, characters, gamemodes. Been havin a blast with it.

Power Issue?

So I left my computer on overnight last night. In the morning it was off, and I figured it was just in Sleep mode. But it would not turn back on... So I clicked the switch to cut off all power to it, and put it back on. The Comp. then booted up. Was on the web for about 2 minutes when I heard a little pop from the back. It restarted by itself. So I let it boot up again, and it seemed to be doing okay. Played some BC2 for a bit, everything fine. Went to make some food and after an hour or so it was off again. This time I cannot get it to turn back on. Is it possible for the power to just die like that? It's only 3 months old...

Not sure if you guys remember me. I'm still surprised I remembered my login to this website. It's been ages since I was last trolling here.

I'm Bugeater from back in the 42 days. Miss being an Xpac whore. Old tags are -=[F69]=-, :4i:, and I even scrimmed with =222= tags with you guys a couple times. I remember scrimming BR1 and cRu back in the day. If any of you remember the F69 tag, you can officially consider yourself pure oldschool.

Been playing BC2 a bit. It's not 42 but nothing is to be honest. Half the pugs I jump into have at least 15 snipers on each side and it can suck. Would be nice to at least pug with people you know. Long story short, just wondering if you guys need some scrubs or a loyal BBB.

I work M-F 3-11pm MST, not sure if that's an issue.

XFire is Bugeater. Was Bugeater in 42, BF2 but couldn't figure out how to be Bugeater in BC2 because I'm an idiot. I'm Blindcylops in BC2.

BFBC2 sound problem solved

I am using an intel motherboard DP45SG extreme series with an IDT onboard sound chip.
In Windows 7 64 bit the BFBC2 game freezes and the sound loops.A reset or restart is required as no keya work when this happens.

I emailed Creative to ask what they have and have yet not replied.

From Future shop here in Canada I purchased the only PCI sound card I could find claiming it will work with windows vista and 7 both 32 bit and 64 bit.

Rocketfish gaming 7.1 PCI sound card.

It is the first time since the last patch I have been able to play a whole day with no hangs it seems to have done well. I have played 2 days and an it is doing ok.

Rocketfish make a 5.1 sound card but it is not for 64 bit anything.

If any other of your friend have an onboard sound problem of hanging then this solution may help I am happy....now I do not have to throw my puter out of the third floor window in frustration.
